Abstract submission has ended on April 5!
The scientific committee will review the abstracts and we will send notifications to submitters by April 30.

• All abstracts must be submitted via the online form below.
• The official language of the conference is English. All submitted content needs to be in English.
• All presenters will be required to register for the conference by 1 June 2024. Presenters who do not register by this date will not be included in the conference programme. We will issue acceptance notices by 30 April 2024 so you can proceed with registering with early bird rates after you have received the results.
• Authors may submit more than one presentation per registered attendee. However, as the number of oral presentations at the conference is limited and we would like to give more people a chance to have a talk, one presenter is likely to get one oral presentation.

• Oral, standard presentation– These are presentations made by attendees who submitted an abstract for sessions (please check the list of events open for sessions here). The standard length for an oral presentation is a 12-minute talk + 3 minutes Q&A.
• Oral, flash talk – The length of an oral flash talk is 5 minutes.
• Poster presentation– Posters will be presented during coffee breaks throughout out conference days. Poster presenters are welcome to be near their posters and answer questions when somebody shows interest.

NB! During the abstract submission process, you will be asked to choose between oral and poster presentations. As the number of oral presentations at the conference is limited, authors submitting abstracts for oral presentation may, in some cases, be invited to present a poster instead.

• Abstracts of oral and poster presentations should be maximum 300 words in English, with a title of no more than 20 words.
• No references should be included in the abstract.
• A picture showing details of the work may be inserted, provided that the size of the whole document (text plus figure) does not exceed one page.
• It is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that the abstract text does not contain typos or grammatical errors.
• Abstracts can only be submitted online using the abstract submission form.
• You will need to select the most appropriate topics from the session list.
• After clicking the "Submit" button on the form page, you will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail with the identification number of your abstract. You can use this reference for any notification regarding your contribution. If you do not receive this notification, please check your spam folder, or contact info@sere2024.org to confirm that your abstract has been received.

You will be able to enter the system and edit your abstract at any time until the submission deadline. Afterwards, you will not be able to modify your abstract anymore.

Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee and session coordinators with regard to scientific quality and relevance to the conference.

Notification of acceptance or rejection of abstracts will be issued no later than 30 April 2024.

Please do not submit an abstract unless you are committed to participating in the conference. Cancellations impose a serious burden and negatively impact the overall quality of the conference programme. If extenuating circumstances force you to cancel your participation and you are unable to find a co-author or colleague to give your presentation on your behalf, we ask that you notify us immediately at info@sere2024.org so we can update the programme accordingly.
