Thanks to the amounts of the full registration fees, it is possible to enable early career environmentalists to participate at a more affordable rate.
Additionally, we have announced a sponsorship package to partly subsidise the participation fees of early career environmentalists. Information will be sent to registrants in the Equity member category registrants if we find a sponsor for this package.

* Equity fee: this includes bachelor's, master's and doctoral students. Also, young environmental enthusiasts who are up to 30 years old (incl.).
** Online participation: This includes a live broadcast of all plenary lectures. Whole programme in one parallel session will be available to online participants. There will not be a live broadcast from all parallel sessions.
***  Ukrainian equity category: We would like to encourage presentations on contemporary topics on Ukraine, such as the environment, effects of the war, opportunities for restoration. Therefore, accepted abstract authors on the aforementioned topics as well as Ukrainian participants are enabled an equity registration fee of 200€ to provide a forum for discussing these essential matters. PS! You need to show your passport at the registration desk on-site.

Visa invitation letter

According to the decision of the Republic of Estonia, visas are not issued for participants from Belarus and Russia.

An official Letter of Invitation to obtain a Visa and authorization to attend the SERE 2024 event in Tartu, Estonia will be issued ONLY after a completed registration form, hotel booking if necessary and full payment has been received. Letters of Invitation will not be given to parties not registered and paid in full. 
All Letters of Invitation will be issued at the discretion of the event organizers. All expenses incurred concerning the delegate’s attendance at the event are the delegate's sole responsibility, and the event organizers hold no responsibility for the outcome of an individual’s visa application.
In case of visa refusal, we`ll refund the registration fee in the full amount (minus the administration fee of 50€) based on the written proof of visa refusal one month before the event.

Please note: As the summer is a busy time at consulates and embassies, if you require a visa to enter the Schengen zone, please start the process 3 months earlier. Conference participants can apply for a business visa (, which requires an invitation letter from Delegate Services.

Methods of payments

After filling in the registration form, an automatically generated confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address inserted in the form free of charge. The e-mail contains a PDF link with the registration data which can be downloaded and serves as a written confirmation.

If you choose payment by bank transfer, the invoice will be sent after a successful registration.
If you choose payment by credit card or bank link, the invoice will be sent after successful payment.

Please note: When registering for the early fee, the payment by bank transfer must be completed by the end of the early bird registration fee deadline. Otherwise, the higher fee automatically applies for the registration, and you will receive a new invoice from Delegate Services. The late fee must be paid in full before the conference, or the participant will be required to pay the higher on-site fee in cash or by credit card at the registration desk.

Cancellation policy for registration

Cancellation with a full refund is possible until 1 June 2024 - minus an administration fee of 50€. After 1 June 2024 no refunds will be made for any cancellations. Any changes to the registration and all cancellations must be communicated to Delegate Services via e-mail at Cancellation requests must identify the registrant’s name, e-mail address, the amount paid, and bank details. Name changes are free of charge. All refunds will be processed within two weeks after the event.
